I receive messages frequently from people who don't bother to even put their name at the bottom, thinking that I can always figure out who they are from the information on the header, which can sometimes be confusing. Also, I file my printed e-mail messages by people's last names, not by their e-mail names, since I also get regular snail-mail from people. So, if I can't figure out who you are, I'm less inclined to answer your messages!
