So my question to you would be where does the name Julia Ann Stewart as the wife of Reuben Washburn come from and how do you know they were married on 30 Dec 1838 - I would be interested in your source. Do you have a Bibile Record? Can I make the assumption that Francis Edwin Washburn is your direct relation? Susan Bingler Fairfax, VA
Thank you for the information. I have forwarded it to my sister in law, who has the records of my parents' research. The Washburn line is a collateral line of John Whaley. His daughter Laura Jane Whaley was my great grandmother and Florence Alberta Whaley who married Francis E. Washburn 18 Oct 1874, was her younger sister. There were three children of the marriage, Julia Ann Washburn b. 11 Aug 1878, Eva Lenore b. 20 Mar 1881 and Francis Earl b. 21 Nov 1889. I have lost track of this branch of the family, but perhaps I may recontact them thru the Whaley list. Again thanks for the information.
