    3. Oops forgot to say the William Fairlie Fergusson was born in Calcutta India Hi, I realise Fladbury is in Worcester but wondered if SKS can find her in the 1871 census. She was in London in the 1861 census and married William Fairlie Fergusson in 1875. I have not been able to find him either. It appears they had two children before they were married Effie Margargaret born c 1869 and William Fairlie Fergusson c 1872 but so far no sign of any of them. I know in 1878 they were in Queensland and then in Tasmania in 1881 so have their details all after that I did find this in the London Gazette "The London Gazette" 20th February 1874 Bankruptcy Act of 1869 In the County Court of Berkshire holden at Windsor on the 22nd Day of January 1874 In the matter of a bankruptcy petition prsented by William Fairlie Fergusson of Milton Ernest near Bedford, brewer against George Dunn of Peascod St Windsor in the County Of Berk,Dealer in Pictures and Picture Frame Maker adjudicated a bankrupt on 1st November 1873 Upon hearing Mr Spiller, the solicitor for the bankrupt and Mr Gray the solicitor for the petitioning creditor, and with the consent of the parties, it is ordered that this petition be dismissed without costs; and it is further ordered that the petitioner pay the said George Dunn the costs occasioned by reason of the notice of the appeal given by the petitioning creditor and incurred by the bankrupt subsequent to the 18th day of December 1873, the date of notice of appeal, such costs to be taxed by the Registrar in case the parties differ By the Court Henry Davill Registrar I can't imagine there were many William Fairlie Fergusson around he was a Capt in the Bengal Calvalry but an accident in petioned him off Any suggestions welcome Cheers Marilyn from Western Australia
