Died 1980's/1990's All births, marriages and deaths were in Birmingham and nearby districts. The family lived most of the time in 15, Lime Grove, Venitia Road, off Garrison Lane, Small Heath, Birmingham until we left in 1951. I have two long-time 'mysteries'. (1) Does anyone know what happened to KATE FLANNIGAN? I've tried all the usual BMD, emmigration and census websites without success. (2) Family memory is that JOHN FLANNIGAN (b 1869) joined the Royal Warwickshire Regiment during WW1. However, I have a picture of him wearing the Royal Flying Corps cap badge. There are what appear to be three service numbers written on the back of the picture together with 'RAF'. Did he join the Army and then the RFC and then transferred to the RAF later in the war. I've tried all he usual military websites without success. Strangely, my Mom never mentioned KATE (b 1871) and we certainly never met her. Was she the 'black sheep' of the family? Any assistance with the two above 'mysteries' will be greatly appreciated Regards, Mike Walker
