    3. Find My Past has many Cheshire parish registers, images of the register pages which have been indexed. I believe you can do a search without pre-payment. Alternatively investigate the website for the Family History Society of Cheshire [www.fhsc.org.uk] as there are links to a range of resources. They also sell some PRs on CD. There is a very helpful and knowledgeable group of people on the Cheshire-L - a link to it is on the FHSC website. It's just a line list of James married Jane. Would this be the only record of their marriage?
