Hello Jim, Your next step is to look for their baptisms which will probably give the names of the fathers and MAY include the first name of the mothers, which will help you to find their marriage. IF the father left a will and it has survived, this might provide further information on the family, but even then the testator may just have mentioned his "dear wife" or his two sons, with no further details. In any case, at this date you aren't going to find all the information you need written down in one place. If the parish records have disappeared or the parish clerk forgot to record an entry, you may never find it and there was no legal obligation to record dates of birth or death. Sometimes local records like rate books, churchwardens' accounts, leases, can provide valuable clues, but you aren't going to find all that on line waiting for you to cut and paste - but then that's the pleasure of researching! Good luck, MAR in France. Ok - I can contact Cheshire Records and see what they have. If it's nothing more than this, what do you do then? Are there any other resources you Warwickers use to further your research back into the early 1700's?
