G'day All I have been preparing an 1861 piece to go online on Pickards Pink Pages www.hunimex.com/warwick This is piece RG9 2164 The last District on this piece ED49 has several pages which appear to have been lost very early on as the Folio numbers are consecutive Pages 33 to 40 are missing so the records of approx 200 people are lost. ( confirmed by the enumerator's tally pages) Sod's Law says this will include YOUR ancestor- sorry I shall contact TNA to see if they have any idea of where the pages may have ended up. However, I dont hold out much hope as the last 2 pages seem to have suffered water damage. On a brighter note A recent entry in the 1861 census for Birmingham included a small boy aged 2 years -birthplace unknown - who had been adopted by a family named Thorley- (fruiterers ) There is a note added " A foundling picked up on the street" they named him Henry Providence. God blest you Henry -I hope you had a good life Cheers Wendy Boland Co-ordinator Warwickshire 1861 census and FreeREG Transcription Teams
