Does anyone have access to parish records for Nuneaton? I am trying to trace my gtx3 grandfather Jeffcoat* . My gtgt grandfather was James Jeffcoat* who married Elizabeth Greatrex in 1823. He was born sometime between 1804 and 1806( ages differ slightly on census returns) and lived at Robinsons End , Nuneaton. Witness at his wedding was a John Jeffcoat, maybe that was his father . I would like to know if possible if that was correct and also who his mother was. Many thanks Kathy

Hello Again Kathy Did you find out whether Norman Avenue Nuneaton was named after your Jeffcoat ancestors or not ? I did send you some information Off List after your post to the List in July but did not receive an acknowledgement so I am still wondering. Jeffcoat with many spelling variants is a common surname in the area. You will need to find the christening record for your James to find his parent's forenames and then trace their marriage to find his Mother's maiden surname.
