    3. Margaret Well Street and Little Park Street are on opposite sides of the city centre. Courts were the name for a group of houses surrounding a central courtyard. These were cleared in the 20th century as slums. Well Street was the main road out towards Radford & Corley - it is now redeveloped (although the current Well Street runs closely to its line) and runs North West from the junction of Bishop Street and Corporation Street.
