This probably has no bearing on the current discussion and is completely circumstantial but will add it into the mix- I am quite sure that a Deeming was a witness to an 1844 ALCOCK-LOUD marriage in my family at the Maxstoke Church. The Alcocks were at one point in Sheepy Magna; then in the general Maxstoke area; one record showed Grendon as a location for them.
