    3. Bob, Looking at the actual 1891 census page on Ancestry, "Ernest" is listed as James WILDSMITH born 1863. Not known where born. Boarding with a family that were all born in Bromyard. He was a Railway Labourer. In 1881 there is a James WILDSMITH born 1862 in Bromyard, Herefordshire. (March 1862, 6a508). Living with his widowed mum Eliza and siblings in Norton in Herefordshire. He is employed as a Masons Labourer. (Deceased father Joseph born 1828 in Norton Herefordshire. Mason whilst alive) In 1901 there is a James WILDSMITH living with his widowed mum Eliza and sister Fanny. Living in Balsall Heath. He is a Labourer in a gas works. Unmarried. Lots more clues, I could go on all night, but that would spoil your fun. Only joking if you do need any more help just ask. David in Perth West Oz. Where the weather is warm and the wine is cold. By the way as a spotty kid I would go to Bromyard for holidays to Aunt Mary's caravan. Highlight of our year.
