Carol Think this the family you are seeking in 1841 Census HO107/1149; Book: 10; Civil Parish: Aston; County: Warwickshire; Enumeration District: 21; Folio: 24; Page: 2; Sched 23; Great Brook Street STRICKLEY Joseph 40 Milkman Not Born in County " Ann 30 " " " Joseph 5 Born in County " Ann 4 " " " Elizabeth 2 " " NB Reminder Ages in 1841 Census for people over 15 were rounded down to the nearest 5. ( THo' think some Enumerators appear to have done the adjusting up rather than down. ) hth Helen New Zealand -----Original Message----- From: warwick-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:warwick-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of JohnASaul@aol.com Sent: Tuesday, 28 August 2007 7:42 p.m. To: WARWICK-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [WAR] 1841 look-up please I am trying to eliminate a family from my direct line research, although suspect a link, and forgot to check the 1841 census. Looking for the head of household for - wife Ann STRICKLEY (or could be STICKLEY - it changes) aged about 28 and born in Kings Norton. She is a widow in 1851. There should be a son Joseph aged about 4, daughter Ann about 3, and daughter Elizabeth about 2 - children born in Birmingham. In 1851 the family are in Aston.
