    1. [WAR] Bradshaw (late 1700's)
    2. Hi, not sure if i am in the right list but I am sure someone will tell me if i'm not. I am looking for information on Elizabeth Bradshaw. All i have to go on is that she had a child to a "Thomas" Bradshaw in 1796. My records show that the child's name was Mary Anne Bradshaw and that she was born in Coventry, Warwick. Thomas was transported in 1799 (we think he died on the trip) and it would appear that Elizabeth went along with him because she is on the same ship, the Hillsborough. Elizabeth went on to make a life for herself and another husband, in Tasmania. Elizabeth is my 5xg or 6xg gmother and I am trying to find out more about her family. Hopefully that makes sense. kind rgds Phil Butler..... sunny Queensland.....

    3. Hello Phil Welcome to the Warwick List- yes correct List for Coventry. The Hillborough was known as the "plague Ship" wasn't it- so it is perhaps lucky that anyone survived the journey ! Records show that of the 300 convicts on board 95 died from Typhoid. Is the child Mary Ann BRADSHAW the one who was baptised at St John Coventry on 30 Jan 1797 Parents Thomas & Elizabeth ? ( they may have been married - but nothing is recorded on the IGI that I can find) Have you found the record of Elizabeth's second marriage? This might show her maiden nam and help us track donw the family. I hope some-one can help further Good Luck Wendy Boland Warwick List Admin Hi, not sure if i am in the right list but I am sure someone will tell me if i'm not.
