Hello Jan I know Sue Casey in Canada was collecting DOWN/ES from the Atherstone area. She has several transcriptions on Pickards website at www.hunimex.com/warwick I might still have her contact email address as I don't think she is subbed to the List at present. You might have to consider several spellings of the surname expecially pre 1800s- nothing was set in stone !
