Hi Gus & Christopher Many of the Overseas indexes including the Consular Indexes are available for free on http://www.familyrelatives.com/ There are also Regimental Births & Marriages which may come in handy You need to register but not give CC details I have used them to good effect on many occasions If the wife is from India it would be worth checking Fibis also Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > >From the absence of any likely marriage - or of the 2 daughters' births - > >on > FreeBMD, coupled with the fact that he was 'retiring' from South Africa, > the > likely implication is that he married "abroad", and with a quite high > probability that all occurred in South Africa. > > His rank as Major makes it not unlikely that the marriage and births may > well be in the GRO's 'Miscellaneous Indices', probably the Army Marriages > and Army Births. 3. Hi Would anyone have access to the Stivichall parish records. William Dumbleton married Sarah Douce in 1831 and I'm trying to find out if William is listed as 'from this parish'. Also if there were any witnesses other than the church. p.s. this parish is not listed pn pickard's pink pages. Wits Josh Dumbleton, Ann Fruman (x). [almost certainly an F and not a T for Ann's surname ] Hope that helps Carole -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of Jestrrwolf Sent: 25 August 2010 00:03 To: [email protected] Subject: [WAR] Stivichall parish records Hi Would anyone have access to the Stivichall parish records.
