Vicki I have Hammersleys in Bedworth back to the early 1700s so I think it likely that your Henry was from the close neighbourhood. Have you looked at adjacent parishes such as Bulkington, Chilvers Coton and Nuneaton which all had sizeable weaving communities? Richard Ancestors (some back to the 1500s) with 300 different surnames from Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire. 180 village photos. 40 trade guide extracts.
