Hi again You can marry by banns or licence, both would be recorded in the local registrar level which then passed it to the GRO (that includes registry office marriages) There are odd events missed out of the cycle so if you believe they married the best thing to do next is check with the local registrar If you ask nicely they don't usually charge to check for a marriage but obviously do for the certificate Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > Thanks all, I am beginning to wonder if they had a marriage with no banns > Ken
