Picking up on the point about marriage licences and bonds, I know that Lichfield Record Office have the originals for the part of Warwickshire which was in Lichfield diocese. I would guess that the first port of call for the rest of the county is probably Worcester but I don't know that any of my known ancestors in that part of Warwickshire had the wealth to raise the bond so it is not something that I have investigated for myself.
