    1. Re: [WAR] William JENKINS and Mary SPICER
    2. Peter
    3. Cherrie, IGI has a marriage of William Jenkins and Mary Spicer 31 Dec 1804 at St Martin, Birmingham. IGI also has some baptisms, In all cases parents William Walker Jenkins & Mary Peter I am  trying to trace Williams JENKINS and Mary SPICER.  Family anecdote has it that they were husband and wife. I have no birth dates/places for either, or marriage date/place. I have the following information for a son, William JENKINS jnr. Born 1808 in Wellsborough, Warwickshire. Baptised 10 October 1808 at st Martin's Birmingham; convicted 10 March 1827 at Worcester, and sentenced to 7 years transportation to NSW; supposedly a 'boatman' in his youth. Any suggestions where to search for further information for William snr, and Mary Spicer, and whether there were other children?  Also, is anyone aware of what newspapers were published in Worcester in 1827 - I would like to see if there was a report of William jnr's conviction? i do have a copy of the convictions register from Ancestry. thank you to all who offer help regards Cherrie from Oz
