Thanks for the information, Gus. I have obtained a few Wills from Warwicks Record Office in the past, but you are correct in that Warwicks wills seem to be dotted all over the place. Shakespeare Centre Library and Archive seem to hold quite a few as well. Lichfield RO have only indexed wills up to 1730 online at present so I think I would contact them first to see if they hold this particular Will. Janet Sorry, Janet, because it's extremely likely she'd be wasting her time :-( Unless, that is, it was in a decidedly-peculiar "peculiar" and the Will isn't held by the Diocesan Archives. About half of Warwickshire at that time was in Lichfield and Coventry Diocese [and the remainder in Worcester Diocese] and so Warwickshire Record Office doesn't hold more than a few 'stray' Wills. Lichfield Record Office *should* hold this Will. I know that *some* of their Wills Collection has been indexed and are on-line at their site, but I suspect they haven't yet reached the late 1700s.
