Hi Yes I had one will from Warwickshire RO in the past but this is relatively unusual Wills mostly are at Worcester or Lichfield Apart from Birmingham, my Warwicks ancestors are from three adjacent parishes Packwood, Tanworth and Solihull Confusingly wills for these parishes are located at different RO's Packwood was a peculiar. Wills were proved in the Manorial Court of Packwood and are held at Warwicks RO Tanworth was in the diocese of Worcester and wills are held at Worcester RO Solihull was in the diocese of Lichfield and wills are held at Lichfield RO So it can really get confusing Bob -----Original Message----- From: warwick-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:warwick-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Janet Booth Sent: 14 November 2012 09:53 To: warwick@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [WAR] Harper "Thank You" and New Question Thanks for the information, Gus. I have obtained a few Wills from Warwicks Record Office in the past, but you are correct in that Warwicks wills seem to be dotted all over the place. Shakespeare Centre Library and Archive seem to hold quite a few as well. Lichfield RO have only indexed wills up to 1730 online at present so I think I would contact them first to see if they hold this particular Will. Janet
