    3. Coleshill pre-1837 comes under Lichfield so if Carol knows the name of the testator and the date, I'm sure Lichfield Record Office would be able to say whether or not they have any such will. The details of how to obtain copies will be on the website. I couldn't find any reference to Coleshill being a peculiar, but then I only did a cursory search. Interestingly, there was a peculiar called Coleshill in Hertfordshire (now Bedfordshire). Could two peculiars of the same name be considered peculiar?! MAR in France. > Message du 13/11/12 10:58 > De : "Gus Tysoe" > A : warwick@rootsweb.com > Copie à : > Objet : Re: [WAR] Harper "Thank You" and New Question > > Sorry, Janet, because it's extremely likely she'd be wasting her time :-( > Unless, that is, it was in a decidedly-peculiar "peculiar" and the Will > isn't held by the Diocesan Archives. > > About half of Warwickshire at that time was in Lichfield and Coventry > Diocese [and the remainder in Worcester Diocese] and so Warwickshire Record > Office doesn't hold more than a few 'stray' Wills. > > Lichfield Record Office *should* hold this Will.
