I'm new to WarwickRoots and I'm hoping someone can help me and others who have a common link through the surname Hems in London. We run an on-line database for our Hems tree based in London (www.juxon.net) but we have a feeling that there may be a link to Birmingham with William Hems (from London) marrying Sarah Palmer on 28 Mar 1758 in Aston juxta Birmingham and subsequently having children baptised at St John, Deritend & Bordesley. We have William and Sarah (no surname) in London and some of the children's names/births/christenings tie in well together with the Birmingham family. Can anyone shed some light on the possible connection of these two families? And for anyone with Hems as a surname in their ancestry, we (the Hemsearchers as we call ourselves at www.juxon.net) would like you to join us and contribute to the database we've constructed with over 5000 people so far. At present the London and Midlands/NW families seem to have no connection - we'd like to, hopefully, find the missing link. John
