Chrysanthemum Wedding Mr. J. W. Warren and Miss Ida Cannon were married at the Methodist Church last Wednesday evening in the presence of a vast concourse of the friends and relatives of the contracting parties. The ceremony, as pronounced by Rev. F. A. Rosser, was beautiful and impressive. The nuptial bower presented a picture rare in beauty and design. Two large arches, intersecting at right angles, were artistically decorated with cedar and chrysanthemums and from the point of intersection hung a miniature umbrella beautifully illuminated by an electric light which descended from the center showing with indescribable effect the beautiful array of chrysanthemums with which it was festooned. On either side of the large arches, marking the entrances from the aisles into the bower, two smaller arches were erected which were likewise beautifully decorated. the bridal party with the attendant groomsmen and bridesmaids were ushered into the church by Messrs. Childrees, Scott, Galbraith and Cowle! s, to the strains of the wdding march executed by Mrs. Fountaine. They came in the following order: Bridesmaids: Misses Laura Shook, Anna LaRoe, Misses Ethel Cowles, Ninnie Simpson, Misses Lillie Rowell, Susie Warren. Groomsmen: Messrs. A. H. Dashiell, D. M. Purvine, Messrs. Con McClung, E. R. Bmpass, Messrs. Frank Bell, of Dallas, C. M. Crumbaugh. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Jeanette Cannon, the groom by his brother, Mr. R. L. Warren. The couple took their position under the shadow of the beautiful umbrella above mentioned while about them in beauteous array were grouped the attendants and ushers, the ladies on the right, the gentlemen on the left. The ceremony was pronounced and the exit was made in the same impressive and ceremonious manner. The party repaired to the residence of Mrs. B. E. Warren, where a brilliant reception was held and congratulations, numerous and heartfelt, were tendered Mr. and Mrs. Warren. The bride was a perfect picture of loveliness, attired in a beautiful costume of Russian crepe of silken wool, trimmed with chantilly lace. She wore the customary bridal veil and ornaments. The bridesmaids were resplendent in costumes similar to that worn by the bride, each having a bridal bouquet of chrysanthemums and ornaments to suit. The gentlemen were fittingly attired in black and wore buttonhole bouquets of chrysanthemums. At the home of Mrs. Warren a repast was served which for elegance and excellence defies description, attended by the cutting of the usual wedding cake, in the savery depths of which were contained the usual ring, darning needle and money piece. The fortunate recipients of these splendid hospitalities were loath to leave the scene where so much pleasure abounded and it was 12 o'clock before they bid adieu to Mr. and Mrs. Warren, all bespeaking for them that peace and happiness throughout life which is the one inevitable result of a truly happy u! nion, such as theirs.
