I live in Washington State but I typically find items from around the United States in the multitude of antique stores in this area. Today I found an incredible handmade, pink silk crochet sample book dated 1888. On the inside cover is indicated this was made by Ida Ranket, Aunt of Fred Warren. (Perhaps by marriage - it is very faint.) This sampler won 1st prize at a New York State Fair.
