Final services for Dan Warren, former residenet of Cheney were held Monday at 2:30 p. m. from the Alwin chapel of Hazen and Jaeger Funeral home in Spokane. Elder Scriven and Elder Jacobs officiated and buriel was in the local cemetery. William Daniel Warren was born in Arkansas Novermber 6, 1881. He came with his parents to the Lance Hills district when he was a small child. He made his home there for a number of years. In November, 1902 he married Miss Emma Ramsey, daughter of a pioneer Cheney family. They moved to Cheney in 1906, where he was rural mail carrier, for about three years. The family moved to Ritzville in 1912, where Mr. Warren was a foreman in a mill. In 1926 he was transferred to Boyd Conlee mill in Spokane, where he worked for a short time, until his health forced him to give up the position. For two years, he was in charge of a power plant at Inchelium, but returned to Spokane again, where he had made his home for about nine years. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church. He is survived by his wife at the home, on route 8, Spokane; two daughters, Mrs. Iris Koeplin of Ritzville, and Mrs. Doris Baltzell of Spokane; two sons, Kendall and Richard at the home; his mother, Mrs. Mathilda Warren of Spokane; six sisters and four brothers. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Roy Chambers and Mrs. J. S. Smith of Cheney. I'm not related to this family.
