Warren of the county of Humphreys and State of Tennessee, being now in low health but in mind and unstertanding perfectly sound and knowing the shortness of life and the certainty of death, do make and confirm this my last will and testament, revoking all former wills. First. I will that God receive my soul at death and that my body be buried in a decent and christian like maner to rest in hope of a better resurrection. Second. I will that at my death if there should not be money on hand that there be sold to the best advanatage of my livestock to raise money enough and that all my legal debts and fueral expences be paid. Thirdly. To my beloved dauaghter Permelia Guin I will and bequeatha negro girl named Matilda now in her possession together with all the increase of said girl and at the death of Permela Guin the said gir and increase to belong to the lawful heirs of her boyd. Fourthly. To my beloved daughter Elizabeth Lankford I will and bequeth a negro girl named Polly now in her possession together with all her increase and at the death of Elizabeth Lankford said girl and increase to belong to the heirs of her body. Fifthly. To my beloved daughter Lucy brown I will and bequeath a negro girl, named Patience now in my possession together with her increase and aat the death of Lucy Brown the said girl and increase to belong to the heirs of her body. Sixthly. To my beloved daughter Frances Warren I will and bequeth a negro girl named Annis now in her possession together with all her increase and at the death of Frances Warren the said girl and increase to belong to the heirs of her body. Seventhly. To my beloved daughter Sabrina Warren I will and bequeth a negro girl named Winny now in my possession together with all her increase and at the death of Sabrina the said gir and increase to belong to the heirs of her body also to Sabrina, I will and bequeth one bed and furniture one horse, saddle and bridle and one cow and calf. Eightly. To my beloved son Azariah Warren I will and bequeth a negro boy named Ben, now in my possession. Ninethly. To my beloved grandson Egbert Maben Warren I will and bequeth a negro boy named Allen now in my possession also one bed and furniture and one cow & calf. next. To my beloved wife Isabelle Warren I will and bequeth a negro boy named Charles which boy she may dispose of at pleasure dureing her natural life, but if said boy is not disposed of at her death the same shall be disposed of as the property of Isabella Warren. I also give to my beloved wife Isabella Warren my farm whereon I now live together with all my farming and carpenter tools and utensales of every discriptions and all my house hold and kitchen furniture of every discription that is not named in this will also my stock of every kind that has not been named also a negro boy named Henry also a negro woman named Tris also a negro girl Tempy together with all their increase all of which she Isabela is to have the benefit of durin her natural life and at the death of my beloved wife Isabella Warren ! I will that all the afore mentioned lands and tenements goods and chattles and the negro property which may then be living be sold to the best advantage. I mean such as my wife is propriator of till death and of the proceeds of such sale I will that the heirs of my beloved son Goodloe Warren named Thomas M. Warren, William S. Warren, Theresa M. Boulton, John G. Warren, Yancy Warren and Virginia Warren and also the heirs of my beloved son Stephen Warren, namely Susan C. Warren and Benjamine F. Warren all of these my beloved grand children I will they have each of them, Five dollars and the resdue of the proceeds of the afor mentioned sale. I will that it be and is equally divided between the heirs of my body now living and my two beloved grandsons namely Egbert M. Warren and Amzi Warren. In my will I hereby appoint my beloved wife Isabella Warren and my beloved son Azariah Warren jointly to excute this my last will and testament and neither of them do I require to give security for the performance of their trust. Sworn into the Colonial Army August 5, 1729 Listed in the WILL of his mother Rachel Warren, written on February 11, 1705 and probated September 18, 1706 Essex Co., Va. Thomas Warren wrote his WILL April 13, 1749 & died 1750 p106. His will was proved on December 4, 1750 in Spotsylvania Co., Va. In this will he lists his wife Mary and his sons Hackley and Lancelot.
