To my knowledge none of my ancestors settled in the States, although my grandfather Sydney Warren worked for General Motors in Detroit for a while during the 1930's. I'm looking for the birth of his g'grandfather Nicholas Warren in Cornwall around 1795 -- my brick wall. Known details are: Nicholas m. Catherine Roberts 18 Feb 1821 at Perranarworthal, Cornwall. Children -- Elizabeth, b 1822. Mary, b 1825. Thomas, b 1826. Eliza Jane, b 1832. Ellen, b 1835. Nicholas, b 1838. Catherine, b 1840. My g'g' grandfather Hannibal, b 1834, m Elizabeth Ann Dower, 9 Apr 1858. All these events at Perranarworthal, Cornwall. Hannibal's son, Hannibal Thomas b 1860, m Mary Jane Bray 1 Nov 1885 at Redruth, Cornwall. Their only child was my grandfather Sydney, b 1886, m Emily Kemp of Stithians, Cornwall on 8 Nov 1913.
