I do know that his fathers name was James Warren and his mother was Tennessee Worley. I have a marriage certificate for them. I am in the process of locating Walter Hillis Warrens birth certificate to confirm this and to try and move forward with my search on his side of the family tree. Unfortunately the family bible was lost when Aunt Mildred and Uncle Donald passed on. There were also several family portaits lost during this time too. I have some info in a tree on Ancestry.com it is under Warren's family tree it is public so you should be able to find it. Grandpa Walter is buried in Ukiah California and so is grandma Elizabeth.
