He married Mary E. Hodge on 29 Dec 1864 at the home of Shadrack Hodge in Laurel County, KY. I also can not find Mary E. Warren in the 1870 Census. Joel J. Warren was the father of Eliza Jane Warren, born on 29 Sep 1873 to Mary Melvina Catherine Hodge, the niece of Mary E. Joel and Mary Catherine were married 28 March 1880 at his home. He was enumerated as "George Warren", residing in the Barbourville Magisterial District of Knox County, KY, in the 1880 Census, dated 23 June 1880, with his wife, Mary, and their children, Eliza, Mariah and Columbus.
