Sorry to be slow about responding to this, I've had company. Thanks to help from other WARREN researchers, I now believe that Samuel WARREN who mar Elizabeth Mason was the son of William and Elizabeth Hackley WARREN. Samuel was b 1716 VA and died 1779 in Spotsylvania VA. My reason for asking this question was part of an attempt to locate the family of my John Warren b 1792 in SC. The name Mason was used several times among his descendants, as were Thomas, William and John. But as far as I can tell, Samuel & Elizabeth didn't have a son named John. On with the search...
