WEST COLUMBIA, SC — Graveside services for Mattie Mitchum Warren, 93, of West Columbia, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007, in Crescent Hill Memorials Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Lonnie Shull and Rev. Joe Reed. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Northside Baptist Church, 1303 Sunset Blvd, West Columbia, SC 29169 or to Winyah Community Hospice Care, Inc. Shannon West, 305 Stoneridge Drive, Suite B, Columbia, SC 29210. Mrs. Warren, widow of Augustus Paron Warren passed away Friday, June 1, 2007. Born in Camden, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Gamewell Mitchum and Hilda Watts Mitchum. Formerly of Charlotte, N.C., she had been a resident here since 1979. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, where she was also a member of the TEL Sunday School class. Additionally, Mrs. Warren was a member of the New Brookland Charter of the Eastern Stars, the XYZ Club and Silver Senior Saints Choral Club.
