For many years now I have tried to tie him into being perhaps the father of Micajah, Asa, and Stanford (these 3 show up in the 1830 census in the same area) However now that the Micajah mystery has been solved - I am back to who is this guy. I am looking at a page I just copied from a book in the Geneology section in Mt Vernon and it states this is the first census of Marion county and in it is listed John b. 1780-1790, undisclosed wife b. 1790-1800; 2 sons b. 1810-1815; a daughter b. 1815-1820; and another son b. 1825-1830. Looking at the 1820 census in Illinois I find a John living in East Bond County who has the same amount of family members. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS.
