Bowen from Roopville, Carroll Co. GA. Alvyl Hoit WARREN b.21 Aug 1902 TX. 'Alvie' first lived with his parents in Roopville, Carroll Co. GA. Alvie later moved to Overton, Rusk Co. TX where other Warren relatives lived and married late in his life, Ida Leora (FREEMAN) (THOMPSON) b. 6 Oct 1906, a widow who had been married (3rd wife) to George Edward Thompson (b. 1 Dec 1881) in Rusk Co. TX who died 4 Dec 1952.) . Ida Leora Warren died on 25 Feb 1968. Ida Leora Warren was a member of Pinehill Baptist Church and died age age 61 on Feb 25, 1968. She is buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. A lifelong Rusk County resident, Mrs. Ida Leora Warren of Route 2, Overton, died at 8 a. m. Sunday at Henderson Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services are pending at Crawford-A.Crim Funeral Home awaiting the arrival from Vietnam of Mrs.Warren's son, Joe Thompson. Mrs. Warren, 61, is survived by ! her husband, A. H. Warren of Route 2, Overton; seven sons, Gerald Thompson of Dickinson, Willie Thompson of Odessa, Frank Thompson of Pecos, Dan Thompson of Ore City, Ben Thompson and George Thompson of Longview and the Vietnam serviceman, Joe Thompson; a step-son, J.D. Thompson of New London; a daughter, Mrs. Martha E. Herron of Tyler; three brothers, Wesley Freeman of Henderson and Arthur and Allen Freeman of Route 1, Overton; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Sherman of Moor Park, Calif.and 17 grandchildren.Warren Rites Set Thursday. Funeral services for Mrs.Ida Leora Warren, 61, of Overton will be held at 10a. m. Thursday at the PleasantHill Baptist Church with Rev.A. N. Tiller officiating. Mrs. Warren died Sunday in Henderson MemorialHospital after a brief illness. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under direction of Crawford-A.Crim Funeral Home.A member of the Pinehill Baptist Church, Mrs. Warren was a lifelong resident of Rusk County. Pallbearers will be Forre! st Gaut, J. C. Warren, Roy Staggs, Henry Boyd, Jack Dawson and C. O. T aylor. 'Alvie' Warren as he was known, married late in his life and only the once. Alvie had no children of his own with Ida Leora Thompson. In earlier years before his mariage he lived for a long time in Rusk Co TX with a couple, Wylie 'Lee' Boyd and his wife Vicie (who was Lavisie 'Vicie' M. Warren, his aunt from Roopville, Carroll Co. GA. 'Vicie' Warren was his father Uriah's sister.) Both Alvyl 'Alvie' H. Warren and his wife are buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Rusk Co. TX.
