    1. Re: [WARREN] John Warren appearing in 1825 census Marion County IL
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: bjjulie1 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.warren/4461.2.1.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Moultrie Illinois is a county above Effingham IL - not far fetched that this John could have left the Eastern Bond county and went North - is only about 90 miles. I googled this and then selected The History of Moultrie Co and Sullivan Ill, keyed in a search for John Warren had 3 hits that were suppose to mention him - LOTS OF DATA ON THE AREA - found only one mention of John Warren - probably overlooked other data since there is so much there. Under the paragraph for ARTHUR ILL there is menion of a John Warren who in the year of 1873 erected a small building and established a grain business. Also just noticed that the village was laid out in september 1872 by M.H. Warren and William Kanitz. Norma - you said that a John Warren was the Father of Asa and Stanford - do you have a name for a daughter and perhaps a 3rd son since that is what showed up in the Marion County census of 1825.
