He was the son of John Marion Williams b. 31 Aug 1871 Rockwood, Roane Co, TN d. 24 Sept 1955 Gregg Co TXand his wife Mary 'Ada' Gary b.6 Oct 1871 Carthage, Panola Co.TX d. 6 Nov 1959 Gregg Co TX. who married on 21 Dec 1892 in Panola Co. TX,were living in Panola Co. TX in 1900., then went to Woodward Co. OK in 1910 and back to Panola County TX in 1920, and in their later years Gregg Co TX. Oscar Raymond Williams parents are buried in Grace Hill Cem., Longview, Gregg Co.TX. The young married couple Berchie (Houston) and Raymond Williams, were farming in Carthage, Panola Co. TX in 1920 and had no children yet. He was a minister with the Church of God in Anderson, Indiana for 60 years. After Berchie (Houston) Williams death in 1963, Oscar Raymond Williams remarried Lorena JO! HNSON in December 1963. Lorena (Johnson) Williams, his second wife, died on 21 Jan. 1991. Oscar Williams is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco, Eastland Co. TX. The obituary for Oscar Raymond Williams read: Odessa American 10 Feb 1991 Oscar Raymond Williams Cisco. Services for the Reverend Oscar Raymond Williams, 93, of Odessa, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel in Cisco with the Rev. John Williams officiating and the Rev. Gary Pettigrew assisting. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco Eastland Co. TX. Mr. Williams died Saturday at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He was born April 12, 1897 in Carthage (Panola Co). He married Berchie Houston June 10, 1917. She died Aug 19 1963. He later married Lorena Johnson in December 1963. She died Jan 21, 1991. Mr. Williams was an Army Veteran of World War I. He was a minister at the Church of God in Anderson, Indiana for over 60 years. Survivors include a son, Noel W. Williams of Odessa; four sisters, Claudine Cumby of Longview, Faye Hudson of Carthage, Johnnie Mae Swofford of Longview and Esther Stucker of Kilgore; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Kimbrough Funeral Home is in charge of Cisco arrangements. Hubbard- Kelly Funeral Hom! e is in charge of local arrangements. Berchie Houston and Oscar Raymond Williams had a son: Noel W.
