I have hit a brick wall - see below: I have hit a brick wall with my Warren and Adams County,PA. I am looking for information on my g-g-grandfather, Elijah B. Warren.(1833-1879) I have traced him back to 1850 and that's where the difficulty lies. There are 2 Elijah Warrens in 2 different households both of approximately the same age. I do not know sibling names. Family history and LDS information indicates that Elijah Warren married a Catharine Warren (no relation) prior to 1860. I have traced Elijah up until his death in 1879 in Crawford County, PA and Catherine until 1880. She is said to have died in 1904 in Polk, PA but I have not been able to verify that. I descend from their third child Amos Jackson Warren. My problem lies in that Elijah is found in 1850, Pa Census, Menallen Township dwelling 673, family visited 742. Warren, Isaac D. age 40 Susan age 40 Samuel age 18 Elijah age 16 *** Cathrine age 13 Margaret age 10 Thomas age 8 Edward age 6 Catharine's parents are said to have been Isaac Warren and Kate Tosser (maybe Losser) Also in the 1850, PA, Menallen Township Census I find the following: Warren, Frederick age 50 Hannah age 49 Susan age 22 Richard age 15 Elijah age 18 ** hard to read, could be age 16 Frederick age 12 Jane age 15 James age 10 Isabella age 5 Ruth age 9/12 I do know that the names Frederick, Thomas and Edward have carried on in the line of Elijah. I am at a loss. I have no way to verify which family his belongs to (if either of these) Do you have any information that might help me verify Elijah's family? If I can't get past this brick wall, I am really stuck. I have been able to verify all of my other information with census records and death notices from 1860 forward. Thanks for any information and help that you may be able to give me. Anita Bryan
