Dear Kay: I am sorry that you felt my email was insulting. i was just trying to get the point across that if someone says to me hey, all i have in the way of a source is a tombstone rubbing from my ggrandfather Warren's tomb at yahoo cemetery in kinsbruk iowa, then I have a way to go search that info and try to get a doc or cert. this would help you and help me, because you have more than i started with and i may find a new resource... i have also spent a whole lot of money on certs and docs, some who were not mine, and i always offer them to the lists concerned...i give info freely and share docs and certs whenever i have them. i always list source citations and give document indexes to those who ask. informational tidbits with no clues as to source are frustrating, at best, and impossible to work with at worst. Please see my new Warren post in answer to another researcher before you judge me. I saw a problem with the researchers of my Warren line and I tried to address it in the best way I could, and because I am new to this line does not mean I am new to the art of research and documentation. I have many many lines that , because we work together and hash out the errors , between us all, they are proven to the absolute best they can be with what has been found. Also, When there is a question of accuracy in dates or whatever, i will say so, i.e. UPDATE JAN 2003: John doe Warren may have been born in 1600 not 1603 according to Jim doe Warren (Jimwar@bbb.bbb) who has found the following information: Gravestone at such and such cem in giles co TN , PICTURE/Rubbing...reason(s) for new info: wife jane doe warren buried next to john, which agrees with known docs(mrg, census). no b/d/c available a.t.t.(at this time) This is a complex and frustrating issue, and I am sharing these things with the list to try to get some cohesion in the research group.
