Mignonette It appears I have not followed the trend of the Warren discussions where many have abandoned RootsWeb Warren page for GenForum. Alan Warren my friend from UK in his email this morning told me Priscilla had re appeared on GenForum. I looked and on the 17th she gives her excuses and her new email address. I will send this message to her new email and see what happens. I certainly hope the Warren DNA project has not gone defunct..mignonette Warren Kelsoe In a message dated 7/13/2009 1:42:05 A.M. On 6-25-09 she asked those of us that are a member of the Warren Project to check our information and send it to her at pwarren@shineintl.org. At the time I had nothing new so I did not go to the site. This week I had an email from John Warren of the UK who asked me about FTDNA and he observed the Warren Project site states it is in need of a new administrator. He is interested in joining for he is stuck in London and needs new direction. I sent an inquiry to her posted address on FTDNA which was the same in her 6-25 post. It did not go through. Priscilla what has happened to the web site you were going to do? Has it got too controversial? I hear very little about DNA on the Warren rootsweb page anymore. The last three that matched me did not even bother to reply to my email sending my tree with offer to help. Has the Project split off into groups only interested in their on matches? I would be very interested in helping the Project and would hate to see it go away after so many have found DNA to have led them into their more probable Warren Family. I have never found either parent's name, so you have more information than I in that respect. His wife lived for a very long time - many of my great aunts and uncles knew her and visited her home in Troy. They all lived in south Alabama. But because he died so young and none of them knew him, I guess perhaps information about him was lost. May I ask what member of the family you are related to? I am a descendant of one of James Carter's sons, James Terrell Warren. And my grandfather's (son of James Terrell) name was Joseph, so there is some reason to believe that Joseph might well have been a family name. I'd be glad to copy the military records for you (what I have are copies also, of course). They are sketchy, and few, but interesting in that you can certainly see a sad pattern of his being ill. I found an index record for Diana Rose born to James Earl Warren and Joyce. If this James is the right one, I would be Diana Rose's half-sister. James would be my father and my mother is Betty, who is still living. Thanks for the obituary. It gives me a lot of additional information about my father's family, if indeed he is.
