I've found both of them listed on old census's, but Joseph has several birth places listed, Rhode Island, Austria and South America. Supposedly Lena was married three times. She had 2 sons Ernest b 1923, Joseph harold b 1911( my granpere) and two daughters, Irene and Dorothy. Irene was sent to new york to live with an uncle. My mother insists Lena was Native american which I find really hard to believe. I have no hard evidence to say she was born on PEI.
