Author: bmontgomery Surnames: Warren Carter Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.warren/4801.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am from the Lott Warren & Rebecca Bussey line that was in Lincoln Co., GA. Lott was a son of Hackley Warren & Sarah Shipp. I can't place your Martha Ann into this line but I am fascinated by the Elijah Carter connection. Do you know who his parents were? Do you know where he lived in Alabama? Lott & Rebecca's daughter, Jane Warren, married an Elisha (Elijah) Carter in GA c1793. I have been trying to track the children of this couple. I have been successful on the families of several of their children but I have had no luck with finding the family of their son, Isaac, b. c1797. I think that the man that was in the 1830 Census in Henry Co., AL fits with the man that I am trying to find. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: TedWright34 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.warren/4801/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Looking for parents, siblings, etc on Martha Ann Warren who married Elijah Carter. From various sources I have Martha born ca 1827 in Georgia, married Elijah 1841 in Alabama, had 10 children, 7 born in Alabama, 3 born in Texas. She died 1888 in Cass County, Texas. Census listing of age varies. 1850-age 33 (pretty sure this is wrong). 1860--age 33. 1870--age 41. 1880-- age 56. 1880 census has her father born N Carolina, mother born Georgia. There seem to be several Warren bunches in Georgia but have not been able to tie her in with any of them. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I'd noticed the discrepancy regarding 1587 and a death in Massachusetts. I'm a descendant from the line of Richard's son Nathaniel. From my great-grandfather Ostrander Warren (b.1834 in NY) back to Richard are 9 generations of males. Do you know if there's been any DNA results re "Warren"? Thanks for any help. There are no other family member buried there. I was told by a long time resident that the children died of diphtheria. Mary Ellen parents are Robert Tate and Sarah Ann Huntley. I don't know when or where they were born. I don't know anything of Williams parents. I can't find anything on Jessie past the 1900 census when they were in Malheur County, Oregon.
