She is listed with children in 1860 census in Pulaski, AK with her last name spelled Warran. She was born in TN and both of her parents were from NC. I don't show any census with them together and she was thought to be 1/2 indian. I have someone doing a little research for me and I will let you know what comes up. There was a John Jones that received a lot of land living amoung the Indians and she was listed as a daughter. Dorcas and John had several children including Liddia Ann Warren who married George Wyatt Gibson and they moved to OK. Liddia's marriage license shows Liddia Ann Waring. I see all the Warrens in MASS but I can't connect mine to anyone yet. I have someone doing a little research for me on Dorcas and John but don't know anything yet. I show Dorcas owning land in Gray Co, Pulaski, AK in 1860 but John is not with her. She has some of her children living with her such as Isaac Warran 20, Emily Warran 17, Lydia A Warran 15, Amanda L Warran 13, and America T Warran 11. They had her listed as Warran instead of Warren. They were married in Greene County, IN. Clarence was born in Terre Haute, Vigo, IN. I can not find his parents on any census. I have thier marrage records and his birth record. Clarence is my husbands grandfather which they didn't see much of each other while he was growing up. The last time my husband saw his father was when he was in the hospital dying. And before that was when our son was born in 1970. So you see I have a big brick wall. We have no contact with that side of the family. Clarence names his son Jack, Jr John and Jack are interchangeable for those that don't like John, they call themselves Jack.
