    1. [WARREN] Warren website
    2. Diana Nowell
    3. Hello May I have the link to your site? I thought I had been there before, but I can't find my saved link. I had to change out my hard drive awhile back & lost a lot of things. On mothers side of the family:Warren My grt-grt-grt-grt grandmother was Susannah Sarah Warren b.3/9/1797 Carolina Co. Maryland d.2/7/1879 Knox Co, Illinois married Frederick Stegall She was the daughter of Solomon Warren 1750-8/5/1820 Jackson Township, Pike Co. Ohio married Mary Tilghman. On my father's side of family: Warren My great grandmother was Theresa Fyinta Warren b. 10/9/1879 Barstow, Illinois d. 2/4/ 1953 Moline, Illinois married to Frederick Paul Gerhardt. Theresa's parents were Chester Warren & (not sure on mothers names as all 3 names appear in newspaper articles) Matilda J or Martha or Harriet Cook. Her mother was Matilda Theresa Langue. She raised Theresa Fyinta Warren as her mother died when she was a small child. Family & newspaper articles state both Chester Warren & Ms. Cook came to US from England. I also know that her grandmother, Theresa Fyinta Warren came from Paris, France. Grandmother use to tell how she had been a Can-Can dancer in Paris & use to show us how she danced. I am at a deadlock on this portion of the family & hoping to find someone who might have information and or be of relative. Kind regards Diana Nowell diana@nowell.co.uk

I have recently embarked on my family history - Warren was my mothers family name originating in Carnarvon N. Wales and later moving to Liverpool in the 1920' or 30's. Unfortunately there are none of them alive as far as I know so it is proving difficult. I will be glad to contribute but as you can probably see from my family tree there is much to be done!!! kind regards Graham Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. Chad Warren
    3. Cross-posting from my message on the Huron Co., Ohio board in case anyone is looking for any of these people. -Chad ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Chad Warren <chad.m.warren@gmail.com> Date: Sun, Nov 1, 2009 at 1:00 AM Subject: Re: OHHURON German School again To: kvwinery@aol.com, ohhuron@rootsweb.com There were multiple John Warren's in the Bellevue Area. The John Warren and Family that shows up in the 1850 Census with wife, Eleanor and children, Thomas, John, Mary and James, is not the same John Warren that is in my line and who also lived in Bellevue. My g-g-g-grand-father, John Warren emigrated somewhere between 1853-1854, with his second wife Amelia (his first wife Elizabeth died in England in 1852) and at least two of his sons, Thomas and Frederick. John and Amelia are buried together in the Bellevue Cemetery, and I have copies of their obits from the Bellevue newspapers. Amelia died in Kalamazoo, MI but her remains were taken back to Bellevue to be put to rest next to her only child. John Warren died in Charlotte, MI and his remains were also taken back to Bellevue to be buried next to his wife Amelia, and some of his children. His entire family with first wife Elizabeth can be found in the 1851 British Census. John and Amelia can be found living alone in the 1860 & 1870 U.S. Census records. One of John's daughters from his first marriage, Ann Turner Warren, was married in England to Thomas Thorne, then after he passed away, she was married to Edward Spratt. They emigrated in 1870 and she was once again widowed in 1880. At this time, her parents, John and Amelia took up residence with her. Thus, they appear in the 1880 U.S. Census all living together. Ann would shortly afterwards move up to Charlotte, MI where her brother was living and marry yet again to a Lyman C. Holbrook. John's two sons Thomas and Frederick after serving in the Civil War, moved up to Flint, MI, where Thomas stayed. Frederick moved on to Charlotte, MI. The two sons joined the Civil War in 1861, but do not appear living with their parents in the 1860 census. I found Frederick listed with another family, likely as an apprentice painter, but am not sure where Thomas was living at the time.) There was one other sister that also ended up in Michigan. Her married name was Mary Jane Bale, and she lived and died in Lakeview, MI with her husband Henry Bale. She was the oldest sibling, so my guess is that she was married in England as well, and emigrated independently from her father similar to Ann. There are also 2 older brothers from the 1851 British Census, John and William. There is a worn tombstone near John and Amelia's in the Bellevue Cemetery for William who died at age 18. But I cannot account for the oldest brother John. Perhaps he died of illness, or never emigrated to the United States. They were never mentioned in any of the obits. Hope this info is useful, but it sounds like you are likely looking for the other John Warren & family. -Chad Warren On Sat, Oct 31, 2009 at 11:21 PM, <kvwinery@aol.com> wrote: > Chad , > > Where the sons of John Warren, Thomas,John and James that moved to > Michigan. My g-grandmother was Mary Warren and I believe John Warren was her > father. > > Leo Mills >

I think it is the John Parker descended from the Browsholme line but he is very close to the John Parker in S.Orangeburgh district of 1790.
