(possibly 1808). He died Jan. 8, 1874 in Dexter, GA (Laurens County) and is buried at Buckhorn Cemetery. He was in Laurens County by 1860. He was in Wilkinson County, GA in 1850. Before that, he was in Monroe County in 1840. I can't find him before that, as he was probably living with his parents, and I do not know their names. He was first married, possibly to a woman named Emily Ann Rutland. They had two children: James and Emely. Later, in Wilkinson County, he married Martha Ann Easter. They had at least one son, John Wesley Warren, born 8/24/1853. He later married Charlotte Clark Warren. I have a good bit more info from that point on, but I am stuck in finding Robert Warren's parents or birthplace. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I am a descendant of Thomas Warren and Mary Hackley, who was Elizabeth Hackley's sister. Also, do you have another Hackley Warren that was Thomas and Mary Hackley Warren's son who married Sara Ship in you information?
Does anyone have a Frances Warren (female) born about 1792, probably in Virginia or NC. She was married in Tennessee to Gilbert Crisman. Thank you. Kay
Thomas and William were both sons of John R. Warren & Rachel Sargent. Mary & Elizabeth were both daughters of John Hackley & Mary Bowler. It was a case of the two Warren brothers marrying the two Hackley sisters. My line is William WARREN who married Nancy WISDOM in 1809 in Caswell Co. His bondsman was a Samuel WARREN. William had a brother Ezekiel WARREN who married Mary WISDOM. Her mother lived in or around St. Louis, Mo in 1968 and was 16. She was sent to live with her grandparents in Chickasha, Ok that year due to being unwed and pregnant. She had the baby (which she named Kimberlly Kyle Warren) at Grady Memorial Hospital on 8-27-68 and soon returned to her family in Mo. The delivering dr. was Dr. Woods. The baby stayed in Chickasha and was put up for adoption. Dr. Woods was the one united the baby and her adoptive parents..Mr. and Mrs. Forbis of Chickasha, Ok. They adopted Kimberly just a few days after she was born and have lived in Chickasha ever since. Kimberly now lives in Oklahoma City and is soon to be 34. We have been searching for her birth mom for a while now and any information anyone could give her/us would be wonderful. Thanks for reading...we hope you can help...feel free to email.

This is what I have: Alice Martha Barber was born in Ipswich, Suffolk, in 1862. She married William Harvey in 1882 and continued to live in Ipswich. She had a son, George, in 1887 although it is not clear who the father is. She then had a daughter, Maude Elizabeth, born at Seabrooke, Kent in about 1888 (details from the 1891 UK census). Seabrook is about 10 miles from Ripple. I cannot find her birth certificate in the UK records (having searched under Barber, Harvey and Warren) so do not know what her birth surname was. However, Maude was married twice and both times gave her father as George Warren. The situation is complicated by the fact that her mother, Alice, later lived (possibly without the benefit of a marriage) with Benjamin Beal Warren in Denford, Northhamptonshire, with whom she had several more Warren children. George Warren might have truly been the father. Alternatively, Alice might have fallen pregnant by someone unknown to us and she went to Seabrooke in true Victorian style to have the baby and then returned home with her "neice" and so the George Warren father might have been a cover story. Food for thought. any connections? Rick -------------- Rick Edmondson rick@hunter.co.uk Tel, office: 01622 717861 Fax, office: 01622 719140 Tel, home: 01959 532575 Fax, home 01959 532832
Rick. I don't have anything up to date as the George Warren you mentioned. My research on the Ripple, Kent Warren's stops in the early 1600's. Thanks. Thought this might intrest someone. Sent to other lists. Joy Bracewell Barnwell County, SC Researching Georgia: BRACEWELL/CROSS/DIXON/PORTER/LEWIS and many of their braches. HistoryDaily.com - An Entertaining Look Back By Charles Smith and Trevor Smith July 30, 2002 on this day: In 1864, during the American Civil War, the Battle of the Crater occurred during the Union siege of Petersburg. Facing a Confederate artillery position, the 48th Pennsylvania regiment persuaded General Ulysses S. Grant to allow them to dig a tunnel and place explosives under the Confederate position. Many of these men were miners and were convinced that such an explosion would devastate the rebels. They succeeded in blasting a crater sixty feet wide in the Confederate line. After that, however, everything went wrong. Union solders rushed into the crater, but were disorganized and their commander was in the rear drinking rum. Many of the rank and file were among the first African-Americans to fight for the Union. Once in the crater they became easy targets for the Confederates, who surrounded them. Almost all of the Union soldiers were killed.
