    1. [WARREN] Ann(e) Warren... Cork, Ireland or Normandy Circa 1800
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WZVBAIB/3245 Message Board Post: Hi everyone Still on the trail of the elusive Lady Ann Warren who eloped with a gardener in Shropshire England in 1811. A note from a family member has shown up suggesting that perhaps she was either from Cork, Ireland or Normandy. Is anyone missing an Ann(e) Warren? The Parish Register lists her as a spinster but it is also possible she was saying that to cover her tracks if she was married to a Warren. Shirley Ellen - BC Canada

Is anyone in touch with Raeola Cooke? She has done extensive research on this line. In our Warren Group of researchers, there are two or three people that descend from this line. One that comes to mind is Michal Pahl Wayne who is from Pa. Are you in touch with her ? If James is willing to share the Sumner Tree , I would pay expenses for mailing, etc. Anne Baldwin

John and Louisa Jane were married in 1839 in Indiana probably somewhere around Vanderburgh County. Their first child, Sarah A., was born in Illinois about 1840. John Warren was born on 8 Feb 1821 in Indiana. I believe that John Warren's father was John Levi Warren born in 1773 in Virginia and died in 1855 in Stoddard County, Missouri. John Levi Warren is listed in the WorldConnect database "Warren Family of Lee Warren" John Levi Warren's wife was Alice. Louisa Jane Forth was born on 23 Dec 1822, probably in Kentucky. Her father was Josiah Forth born about 1774 in North Carolina. Her mother was Celah Allen born about 1776 in North Carolina. Her siblings were Melinda born about 1802 in Kentucky, Larkin born in 1803 in Kentucky, William Allen born 25 Jun 1806 in Warren County, Kentucky, John born 7 Nov 1811 in Warren County, Kentucky, Robert T. born 3 Sep 1814 in Bowling Green, Butler County, Kentucky. My connection to the line is through William Allen Warren, Mary Ann's younger brother.

    3. I am interested in the talk of the WARREN line of Native American descent. I have been trying to locate the descendants of Isaac WARREN and Emily (BROOM) WARREN who were married in Oct 1838 in Monroe Co., TN. Emily (BROOM) WARREN was the sister to a Burrell BROOM who's children were known as "Black Dutch" a commonly used name to hide the fact that one was a Native American, in the late 1800's and early 1900's I am told. Isaac WARREN and Emily (BROOM) WARREN were the parents of William b. 1840, Susan b. 1842, Mira b. 1845 and Joanna b. 1847. I am unsure if there were additional children. I would dearly love to locate descendants of this WARREN line. Kathleen Burnett List Mom

Robert STOKEN was born in Maine in 1810 and moved to Ontario in the early 1800s. He was reportedly attending college. It was there he met and married Anna Warren. She and Robert are listed on the death certificate of one of their sons Albert George. The first account I have of Robert was in the St. Clair, Mich census of 1860. There is a woman listed, but not Anna. It shows Welthy. I am trying to determine if Anna and Welthy are the same woman or if Anna died before 1860. As you can see, I am grasping at straws, but I am sure I can get more info on Anna Warren. It has to be out there somewhere. Thanks, Randy

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/WZVBAIB/2324.2336.2337.2349.3.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Hello, I also have the book the RECORD OF THE DESCENDANTS OF WILLIAM SUMNER, OF DORCHESTER, MASS. 1636 BY WILLIAM SUMNER APPLETON book. It can be obtained from Tuttle Antiquarian Books, 28 S. Main St., Rutland, VT 802-773-8229 www.tuttlebooks.com for about $35. It is very extensive but only covers the continuation of the males of the family, not the females. It does give some information about the person, who they married, who the father-in-law was, birth/death and the towns, and all the children. It only covers the Sumner name. It does not list descendants of any Warrens, although some of them did marry Sumners and are mentioned as spouses. What the book has on Diadama Sumner is she was born 3/14/1798 in Milford (doesn?t say where that is), married Orrin Sumner and died in 1846. She was the daughter of Darius Sumner, b. at Mendon 9/28/1755; was a soldier in the Revolution; m. 2/19/1784, Anna Daniels; lived in Milford; d. 5/2/1847. Her siblings were Ama; Anna; Sullivan; Solon (d. 2/16/1798); and another brother Solon b. 4/13/1800. I?m trying to figure out which Orrin Sumner she married. One of the ?Orrin?s did relocate to Ohio along with a few of his brothers. They were after the free land grants, but I?m not finding anything in the book. This is of particular interest since my husband?s name is Orin Sumner (named after his grandfather Orin J. Sumner of MN). Diadama was not the mother of Persis Sumner (that was Ebenezer and Persis Pease Sumner, 1762). Persis Sumner went on to marry Nathaniel Warren and they had a daughter Persis Patty Warren (1785, Thompson, Geauga, Ohio ). James Pullen was asking about an Allen Melancthon Sumner b. in Boston 1/31/1844. M.D. Harvard 1868; m. 3/3/1868, Ellen Frances, daughter of Benjamin F. Prescott of Boston; lived in Boston, worked as a physician. One child, Margaret Bradlee, b. in Boston 3/19/ 1875.
