Dear List Members, I am again on the hunt for my Isaac WARREN born about 1815 in NC. He married Emily BROOM on the Oct 27 1838 in Monroe Co., TN. They had the following children by 1850 William b. 1840, Susan b. 1842, Mira b. 1845, Joanna b. 1847. The family is still living in Monroe Co., TN in 1850. The 1850 census is the last proof I have found for family. I have clues they migrated to IL to a community called Humistan but no proof. Emily BROOM was a daughter of Mark and Mary BROOM of Pendleton Co., SC. If you know of Isaac and Emily WARREN or have seen them in your search, I would love to hear from you. Hello Mary Jane ....just wanted to say I also had a "Herb WARREN" for a father (1908-1997). He was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. I know a little of his family but need to know much more....just have not had the time to pursue the research. Some of the Warrens went to the United States and some of course, probably were from there, and came up to Canada as Loyalists or something similar. Since your father had the same name, how about giving me some details. I would be interested in seeing a photo, as well. You never know....might be a connection somewhere along the line. I found another long, lost cousin in Pennsylvania (on this same mailing list)....his name was Herb Warren, too. The name, Bertie, for whatever reason, also rings a bell. My GGgrandfathers mother was Anne O'Connor (1842-1879). Her two sisters married men with the last name of Warren. Bridget O'Connor (died 1892) married Samuel Warren (1832-1897) and raised a family in Watertown, NY. Margaret O'Connor (1849-1927) married John Warren. They had one daughter, Minnie. Or, if you are living in an area where you have no one, think of visiting a cemetery and placing flowers by one of these lonely graves. I live in Logan Utah and tomorrow I will be visiting several local cemeteries and will be placing flowers on graves. Over the past years I have adopted these graves, these people and I hope that someone out there is doing the same for my loved ones.
