The parentage of Richard Warren of the Mayflower not yet proven. Try GOOGLING the Society of Mayflower Descendents for information. Not likely that Christopher Warren whoever he is died in MA 1587 since only the indians were residing there in 1587 and the Mayflower landed 1620. 3. I didn't realize at first that Laura's reply went to the list as well as to me. I have two or three comments on Laura's reply, and then I will tell more about Elizabeth, daughter of James Cadenhead Sr. and Mary Ann. This was the first instance I have seen of someone having a maiden name for Mary Ann. I would be very interested to know where to go to look for documentation if anyone has knowledge of some. My great grandfather's middle name was Tripp, and I have wondered if there was a Tripp family connection. Ivy Cadenhead & Nancy Pugh are my great great grandparents. I do have information on Nancy's family, but I had never heard of a previous marriage. I would like to know more about that if anyone can share. The book, SOUTHERN CADENHEADS puts the Thomas born 1810 into the Loose Ends chapter. The writer believed he was living with Ivy & Nancy in 1830 but was likely a son of one of Ivy's brothers - either Thomas or James Jr. I believe the Jesse>Jeremiah Warren in Laura's family is probably a different person with that name since his will didn't indicate that he ever married. Additional information on Elizabeth who married Jeremiah Warren in 1800, mosrly from SOUTHERN CADENHEADS: 1. ELIZABETH2 CADENHEAD (JAMES (SR)1) was born Abt. 1782 in Pitt County, North Carolina. She married JEREMIAH WARREN 15 Apr 1800 in Oglethorpe Co, Georgia. He was born Abt. 1786, and died Aft. 1834. More About ELIZABETH CADENHEAD: Census: 1800, Oglethorpe Co, GA with one son less than 10 yrs old Migration: By 1805, moved to Hancock Co., GA Religion: Feb 1805, Became members - Island Creek Baptist Church Marriage Notes for ELIZABETH CADENHEAD and JEREMIAH WARREN: Another marriage book gives the date as Aug. 15, 1800. They appear on the 1800 census of Oglethorpe Co. with one male child under 10 yrs of age. Both the couple are liste as 16-26 yrs old. Census date 12-1-1800. Some of Elizabeth's brothers moved to Alabama and so did Elizabeth and Jeremiah Warren. She was a charter member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in what is today Barbour County. The Church was formed in 1824 - the area was then Pike County. Jeremiah is not listed as a member of that Church, but we believe they were together. His name appears on a guardianship bond in 1834. I have tried to find this family in the census using various spellings so far without success. There are several Jeremiah Warrens, but they don't appear to be the right age. I would really appreciate help in finding the correct Warren family and Elizabeth's descendents.
