There is no listing for the death of a David Heath in the " Known Military dead during the war of 1812,"by Clarence Peterson, which doesn't mean he didn't die. There is a David Heath listed as serving from Corinth that volunteered to go to Plattsburgh Sept. 1814, and served in the Company of Captn Ebenezer Spence of Vershire in Vermont. Currently I know nothing about David P. Heath except that his widow Lucy Heath qualified for a five year half pay pension under the Act of 16 April 1816. I also know that she received a payment in 1818 while a resident of Franklin Co., Vt. If you are interested in obtaining a copy of this payment file please contact me. C. Craig R.
