According to the "Roster of Ohio Soldiers in the War of 1812" originally published by the Adjutant General of Ohio in 1916: The 1st Regiment of Infantry, commanded by Colonel Duncan McArthur, was composed of 108 companies. Assume you are referring to Lieutenant Colonel John Andrews who was part of that unit. The book does not give the information you are looking for by regiment - it does have dates of service by company and some have the county where the men came from. Are you looking for a particular name or company?
