    3. Shaler's 6th Infantry probably refers to Ephraim Shaylor who transfered to the 6th U.S. Infantry (from the 25th U.S. Infantry) 17 May 1815. He changed his name to Shaler in 1818 according to Heitman. Rosters of the 6th U.S. Infantry may be found in the National Archives in Washington, D.C. They are in Record Group 94 filled by Regiment and by Company Commander. C. Craig R.
